About Burt Glinn
The legendary photographer Burt Glinn was among the first Americans to be asked to join Magnum in 1951. He was known for his spectacular series of works featuring the South Seas, Japan, Russia, Mexico and California. He gained worldwide attention for his photographs documenting Fidel Castro’s takeover of Cuba. His reportages have appeared in a multitude of magazines and he was the recipient of numerous awards for his editorial and commercial photography. Versatile and technically brilliant, he also photographed many personalities from politics to entertainment and everything in between.
