About Richard Winkworth
Richard Winkworth (b. 1963) was born in India, studied art in England and now resides in Hong Kong. Winkworth paints still lifes and landscapes, often drawing upon a rich palette of colors and symbols from his time in Asia.
“Still Life From Japan” features an oversized jar with Asian writing rendered in the encaustic style, mixing wax, resin and pigment to give it that very solid depth. His work is part of many private and corporate collections including Unilever, Xerox and Mandarin Oriental.
