Estelle Thompson (b. 1960) is a British artist, painter and printmaker. Her paintings, exploring color theory, have been shown in exhibitions throughout the United Kingdom and abroad.
Untitled is an excellent representation of the artist's signature paint application process. She applies pre-mixed and self-tubed oil paint to form prismatic fusing of color, which creates an optical transition as in a spectrum. Each time the work is viewed, colors appear anew due to the ever-changing subtleties of color-fusing.
